I’m a freelance video editor, post production consultant and multimedia instructor working throughout the United States. I studied filmmaking in college, but ultimately learned the craft in the field, working under experienced filmmaker and video editor mentors. After graduating in 2006 with a BA in filmmaking, creative writing, and visual art, I worked for 8 years for director, producer and writer Deborah Koons Garcia, and assisted editor Vivien Hillgrove as post production coordinator on the feature length environmental documentary Symphony of the Soil (2012).

In 2013, I began freelancing as a video editor and post production consultant, and refreshed my skill set with a Post Production Certificate Program at the Bay Area Video Coalition in San Francisco. Currently I’m working from my home base in Vermont for a variety of filmmakers and nonprofits, creating and distributing projects focused on environmental issues, wildlife, social justice, community development, nonviolence and health. In 2022 I started Sewing Circle Studios which is my business entity.
